I have talked about my family times that I loved spending. Things, I learned from my parents and my sister. But, what about those who took me out of wasting my life and taught me better so that I improved much in my academic year?
Surely, I think you have guessed what I mean. I'm talking about teachers who are known as mentors or leaders. It's because they inspire us with the way they act, guide, and appreciate us.
You would be having a lot of favorite teachers. With that, even I had.
It happened when I was cheered for a football match. The 2nd day of the school match was so hectic, that 2 days after it was the exams. I had severe pain in my body from running and kicking on the playground field. The school playground was 1 acre. I was so weak in maths that I never scored well in it. And I remember it becoming worse when I started being 24 hours on the phone. The last day of the match was the third day, as our school won the three matches. I felt so happy to make my school proud by winning the 15th trophy in the sports field.
After this moment, there was great appreciation from the school principal and mentors. There was a distribution of trophies among the winners and participants. Also, speeches were given by the winners and a long speech was given by the principal. Just, as I went back to my classroom, I and my friends had a group chit-chat.
Suddenly, a topic came up and we started gossiping about the maths teacher. Unexpectedly, she heard our conversation and gossiped about her. It was said that Ms. Acacia was caught stealing her neighbor's pet cat. Ms. Acacia was a strict maths teacher, and every student was far away to get into a talk with her.
After 2 days, on the day of the exam, I felt stressed out as I didn't learn anything. Then, on the day of the results, the score came out to be 7 out of 40 marks. My parents were disappointed with me. Whereas, I was guilty of scoring much less than before. This too happened in those days when I was living just to watch the phone. Immediately, after the exam was over. Everyone was joined in the discussion on how was today's paper. However, I ran to the playground and started weeping.
Suddenly, Ms. Acacia saw me and was concerned about me. Once I told her my problem, she decided to give me extra classes. At the same time, I apologized to her for gossiping about her. She told me it's fine, but a person should always know the other side of the story, instead of concentrating on one side. Also, never end up judging a person by his one act. Then, she told me about the wrong news the school students had spread about her. This left me shocked as not only this but there were many more rumors like Ms. Acacia had an affair with an English tutor or Ms. Acacia hacked the digital voting election of students.
I asked her, "But, why are you telling me all this, mam?".
She said, "Because I remember myself when I scored the worst marks in maths and ended up crying in the school playground like you. Just thinking of my days and the same happened with me at this age of yours".
"But, why exactly me? I don't deserve this concern. I was gossiping and saying nonsense about you"., I clarified.
"It is okay. Everyone is into this. And for choosing you, there are many reasons. First, while gossiping about me with your friends. I saw a spark of guilt in your eyes in that one second when you saw me hearing your conversation"., said Ms. Acacia.
"Ah! But, isn't it partiality between students"., I interrogated.
"And that's why I favored you. I'm not showing partiality among students. In fact, for all of us as your teachers, you all are equal in our eyes. But, as teachers, we need respect too. We hardly get respected and worst get badly treated by the students. By the way, I chose you as you respect the teachers. I'm not conveying that they are not anyone respecting us, but we want to appreciate those who truly feel for us and respect us. You were hearing your friends rumoring and gossiping, but you were the one feeling guilt. And that did not happen with your friends when they saw me. And, another main thing is that your actions remind me of my daughter who had stress, and pressure that we were putting on her for her studies. What you are facing now, my daughter had faced it way too long at the same age as yours. But, I couldn't understand her and now she's suffering from depression"., stated Ms. Acacia.
I and Ms. Acacia had an extended unexpected discussion.
Then, after passing a day or two, Ms. Acacia started giving me extra learning courses and classes. Subsequently, working hard in maths classes, improved my score vastly from the previous exam.
During my extra classes, I faced hardships in memorizing and understanding severe equations and solutions. Still, remember the amazing tip that Ms. Acacia taught me.
"Ms. Acacia, I have a problem?"., I said.
"Hmm, what?"., Ms. Acacia asked.
"I can't memorize the trigonometry table when I'm trying to learn it, but the formulas and ratios are so confusing that I forget the table"., I stated.
"Mmm! Then I have a solution for this"., Ms. Acacia smiled.
"Ah! What"., I exclaimed.
"3-2-1"., replied Ms. Acacia.
"Er! What is that?"., I asked.
"Simply, it means before 3 hours of sleep, you must have your dinner. However, not after it.
2 means before 2 hours of sleep, do some meditation or exercise or bring any positive thought to your mind for relaxation. Lastly, before 1 hour of sleep, avoid or keep any gadgets, like phones, laptops, mobile or TV away from you. And, then you can sleep after 1 hour of doing this"., analyzed Ms. Acacia.
"Wow! But, if this did not help?"., I suspected.
"It will help you, and one more thing while talking, listening, learning, or at any kind of work where you don't have to use your hands or fingertips. Press your fingers. Each side of the fingers is like joining two hands together. Stick your left and right hand, like this. Then, press each or press each fingertip individually at any time. As maximum nerve endings are in our fingertips. So you can feel more stimulus at your fingertips and these all messages go to the brain and spinal cord, which is the central nervous system of the human body. So, keep in mind when you are sitting or doing something press your fingertips. But, remember while pressing the tips. Keep in mind that your fingers must not be cracked. It means you are doing this in the wrong way. Press, but don't press the two hands' fingertips together so that they get cracked. Press putting pressure on the fingertips and don't stick the two hands together while pressing. Just, keep some space in between the hands and fingertips"., explained Ms. Acacia.
"Wow! Amazing"., I stood applauding.
"Wait, the last tip is pending"., said Ms. Acacia.
"What?", I asked again.
"The last tip when you feel sleepy while studying"., replied Ms. Acacia.
"Ah! But, I don't "., I lied.
"Aha! You do"., said Ms. Acacia.
"Sorry"., I apologized.
"It's fine. The third tip is whenever you feel sleepy drink water and try to learn by walking here and there. Or chomp a chewing gum while understanding and memorizing something. Or take 5 mins as a break, do some meditation or exercise, and then continue studying. Or, if you feel it's a very boring subject for you, you must study it. So, better wake up early, do some 10 mins exercise or meditation to increase your heart rate, and lastly start learning the subject"., illustrated Ms. Acacia.
"I appreciate your concern Ms. Acacia. I'm so happy with your satisfying knowledge and teaching skills"., I expressed.
Ms. Acacia smiled and continued teaching me the trigonometry table. Swiftly, I started memorizing SOHCAHTOA. Sin theta- 0°(0), 30°(1/2), 45°(1/2), 60°(3/2), 90°(1), and cos theta is the opposite of sin theta. It's 90° - 0°, the same sin theta numbers but starting from last to first. Once, the sine column is filled, it becomes easier to fill in the remaining columns.
Next, as I failed the exam, I rewrote the exam where I scored 69 out of 80. After the results were out, I hugged Ms. Acacia for her true guidance for me.
She not only taught me how to score better but also taught me not to waste my time on the phone. While coming to my home, for extra classes, she used to overhear my sister complaining about my bad habit of being on the phone 24/7 hours. First, Ms. Acacia scared me by showing pictures of diseases that are caused when a person doesn't sleep early. She even told about brain and body cells or parts get affected by this bad habit.
At once, I got confused about whether Ms. Acacia was a maths teacher or a biology teacher. Her biology knowledge was almost making me feel as if I was in a doctorate examination, where the teacher was summarising the chapter before the exam started.
Not only, Ms. Acacia, but also other mentors taught us many life values and made us comfortable to share our issues with them without any hesitation.
One thing I understood is that not every strict teacher is bad. She develops this nature in her to control kids and make them serious about their studies.
The other thing was that Ms. Acacia was a very good person. She was gentle, and not at all strict from the inner of her soul.
I never imagined Ms. Acacia would come to be my favorite mentor lastly. But, how much I thank her was less than what happiness she provided me was more of her appreciative and caring nature.
I learned many things about a sweet life.
Family, mentors, and friends play a major role in every person's life. Usually, someone asks, "What's life?". I say, "Nothing, but it's a chain of learning, exploring, and doing new things.
Being positive, alert, helpful, supportive, healthier, fit, happy, and active, and developing a good routine, and character is what people can remember you for.

CONCLUSION:
I would like to end my story here, as I think I have conveyed most of the 21st-century problems of teens that I mostly hear and see. Like mainly disrespecting teachers, and not giving time to family. Being in themselves and the way they sometimes act results in breaking someone's heart or hurting people not knowingly.
My purpose is to remind people to go through the rights and wrongs, they have done in life. Try to improve their lifestyle, health, and character, so that they inspire others. Not to change to be the exact copy of others, but at least to change for the better. As IT'S NEVER TOO LATE.
